Book One

Me & God: It’s Complicated

What if the version of Hinduism you inherited was not the whole story?

Me & God: It’s Complicated is a bold and thought-provoking exploration of Hindu beliefs, practices, and the structures that have shaped them over time. Drawing on Tamil literature, Sanskrit sources through established English translations, and modern historical research and scholarly works, Sivapatham Jeyaratnam examines how ritual, caste, and religious authority became deeply embedded in what is understood today as Hinduism.

The book explores the relationship between ritual and meaning, the social hierarchies that became intertwined with religious practice, and the transformation of indigenous Tamil traditions under Brahminical influence. Along the way, it asks readers to consider how beliefs and practices evolve, how traditions acquire authority, and where spirituality ends and human institutions begin.

Written for readers who are willing to question, reflect, and look beyond inherited assumptions, Me & God: It’s Complicated approaches faith not as something that must be blindly accepted or simply rejected, but as something worthy of deeper understanding.

This book does not ask you to abandon faith—it asks you to understand it.

Book Two

Moonlight Leaked Seventeen Drops of Love

Love, once, was not spoken — it was understood.

Moonlight Leaked — Seventeen Drops of Love / நிலவொளியில் சிந்திய — பதினேழு காதல் துளிகள் is a bilingual collection of Tamil love poems with English translations, tracing the many stages and emotions of love through memory, longing, intimacy, separation, and time.

Originally written in Tamil and later rendered into English to preserve their emotional spirit, these poems are rooted in the landscape and cultural memory of Sri Lankan Tamil life from an earlier era — a time when love often unfolded slowly, through silence, glances, hesitation, restraint, and unspoken understanding.

Written from the distance of more than four decades away from Sri Lanka, the collection inhabits a space where memory and emotion meet. The poems follow love not as an imagined ideal, but as a deeply human experience: how it begins almost unnoticed, how it grows, hesitates and deepens, how distance changes it, and how some loves remain unfinished yet never entirely disappear.

The Tamil poems carry the intimacy and cultural nuances of the language in which they were conceived, while the English versions seek to carry their emotions beyond linguistic boundaries. Together, they allow readers to encounter the same feelings through two languages and two complementary voices.

For readers familiar with Sri Lankan Tamil culture, these poems may awaken a sense of recognition — perhaps even memories of another time. For others, they offer a glimpse into a world where love was rarely declared aloud but deeply felt and quietly lived.

Book Three

This is the Tamil edition of Me & God: It’s Complicated, presenting the same exploration of Hindu belief, ritual, caste, history, and religious authority for Tamil readers.
